Upgrade your carbs: Upgrade your Health

We don’t have a requirement for carbs in our diets. We get carbs in veggies and fruits, as well as grains. You don’t need to strive to get “enough” carbs in. You get plenty in your diet.

Here’s some guidelines for you in order to keep your blood sugar steady:

  • Upgrade your carbs to "slow carbs"
  • Fast carbs: juice, sugar, cookies, candy, bagels, cupcakes, cereal
  • vs slow carbs: whole fruit, root veggies, quinoa, amaranth, legumes.

Remember GF replacements are also refined flours. The key is to increase fiber in your diet . GF junk food is still junk food! Real food is the answer!
